Welcome to our Spring 2009 issue of The DreamLight Connection (originally titled Dreams: A Blessing in Disguise Newsletter). The premise of this newsletter is to invite you to ‘see differently’ by using the gift of your dreams as a tool for reconciliation, healing and spiritual growth. Each quarter I will share stories, insights and resources about dreaming to inspire you to explore your own dream world. I encourage you to correspond with me about your dreams and your journey through the feedback form on our website or directly by email.
The first order of business is an apology to our readers who have been waiting since Spring 2006 for the Dreams: A Blessing in Disguise Newsletter! That issue of the newsletter was halfway completed. The response to the previous newsletter was wonderful, especially your feedback about the synchronicity piece. Looking back, it seems as though God thought that synchronicity piece needed a direct application in my life and amazing things began to happen. So, I surrendered and within a few months I was offered and accepted the position of editor of Living With Loss Magazine (formerly Bereavement Magazine).
Three years have passed since then and I am just now getting back to my dream newsletter! When I took over the helm as editor, my goal was to expand the subtitle to include "Hope and Healing for the Body, Mind & Spirit with an emphasis on non-traditional perspectives and resources. I'm pleased to say that with the help of my dear colleagues and new friends in the field we've created an outstanding bereavement resource for the bereaved, their families, caregivers and professionals. I invite you to visit www.livingwithloss.com and learn more about the magazine, our contributors and our resources.
It's been an exciting ride! In my column in the magazine, The Dream Connection, I've introduced our bereaved readers to an alternative tool for healing using dream work. This newsletter will be an extension of that column and a forum for discussion. Please feel welcome to submit your ideas and requests.
Until our next issue ~ Dreams and Blessings, Carla

29 Questions for the Ordinary Life: Revealing the Profound Amidst the Ordinary by Norman L. Bouchard
"In his thought-provoking book, 29 Questions for the Ordinary Life, Norm Bouchard invites us to discover and integrate the answers to the most essential questions relevant to our life path. Rather than relying on the illusion of external guidance to steer our moral and spiritual compass, each of the 29 Questions is a pathway designed to lead us home again. It is there we find the Divine illuminating the doorway of our soul, waiting patiently to embrace us as we remember who we really are. Ask the 29 questions and live the life you were born to lead."
~Carla Blowey, author of Dreaming Kevin: The Path to Healing and editor of Living With Loss Magazine.
My name is Carla Blowey and I am the author of Dreaming Kevin: The Path To Healing. I am also a bereaved mother whose dreams have played a vital role in guiding me through some very difficult and challenging times on this 18-year journey. I am very passionate about sharing my dream experiences with the bereaved because I believe that everything we need to know to understand our grief and survive this journey is within us. We must learn to trust our intuition, so we can become more conscious of the inner guidance depicted in our dreams. Dream work is a unique tool that can bring healing to the wounded places in our body, in our heart, and in our soul.
DREAMING KEVIN: THE PATH TO HEALING
InfinityPublishing.com 2002, Paperback, 301 pgs
In 1991, I entered the most challenging time of my life when the death of my five-year-old son, Kevin, and the nightmare that predicted it, forced me to reexamine my perceptions about death, grief and the afterlife. I took the road less traveled and journeyed to the dreamtime where I discovered that Kevin had merely transitioned from matter to spirit and that his love for me and our family was stronger than ever. Today, I invite the bereaved to 'see differently' by using the gift of their dreams as a tool for reconciliation, healing and spiritual growth.
